Haven of Hope

The Haven of Hope Program is a cornerstone initiative of Allies Way that helps families experiencing housing instability, especially those living in extended-stay motels, transition into stable housing.

Through targeted assistance, Haven of Hope removes common barriers that prevent families from securing a lease, including security deposits, application fees, and other move-in costs. In addition to financial assistance, families receive housing navigation support and connections to trusted community partners who provide employment resources, benefits assistance, and other services that support long-term stability.

By focusing on families who are ready to transition into permanent housing but lack the resources to overcome move-in barriers, Haven of Hope helps households move out of motel living and into safe, stable homes.

Haven of Hope Housing Transition Assistance

To qualify for assistance through the Haven of Hope Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Residency
Must currently reside in Georgia and be located in a county served by Allies Way.

Current Housing Situation
Must currently be living in an extended-stay motel or other temporary housing arrangement.

Income or Income Potential
Household must demonstrate income or verified income potential sufficient to maintain rent after move-in.

Housing Readiness
Applicant must be actively seeking permanent housing and willing to participate in housing navigation support.

Move-In Barrier
• Must demonstrate a barrier preventing housing placement such as:
• Security deposit
• Application fees
• Utility deposit
• Landlord requirements

Household Status
Priority is given to families with children, pregnant mothers, veterans, and individuals facing housing instability.

Previous Assistance
Applicants may not have received similar Haven of Hope housing assistance within the past 12 months.

Required Documentation

Applicants may be asked to provide:

• Identification for household members
• Proof of current living situation (motel receipt or confirmation)
• Proof of income or employment
• Apartment application or housing documentation (if available)

Types of Assistance Available

Haven of Hope may provide support such as:

• Security deposit assistance
• Application fee assistance
• Utility deposit assistance
• Short-term emergency lodging when necessary during housing transition
• Referrals to housing and community resources
