More than a motel night.
Haven of Hope helps families living in extended-stay motels steady the crisis, find what is really blocking housing, and take the next step toward a place of their own.

The path we walk together
Each family moves at its own pace. These are the steps we follow.
- Stabilize
Steady the crisis in front of you. When appropriate, this may include short-term stabilization, food, transportation, urgent documents, or basic needs.
- Find the barrier
Figure out what is really in the way. It could be a deposit, credit, an eviction, income, missing documents, or utility debt.
- Remove it
Focus on the one or two barriers that matter most and work to clear them.
- Move toward housing
Support with the housing search, applications, and landlord calls, and help with move-in barriers when a family qualifies.
- Follow up
We plan check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days to see how the family is doing and what is next.
Families caught in between
Many families we meet are working, raising children, and keeping them in school. They are paying week to week for a motel room because a deposit, an old debt, or a missing document stands between them and a lease.
- Families with children living in extended-stay motels
- Single mothers and caregivers facing housing instability
- Families at risk of losing their housing
- Households in crisis who are ready to work toward housing
What we can and cannot do
We are a small team. Any short-term support depends on available funding and eligibility. We cannot help every family who asks, and we cannot promise housing.
What we can promise is that we will listen, look at your whole situation, and work with you on a real next step.
Start with a conversation
Tell us where you are staying, who is in your family, and what is going on. A member of our team will reach out to talk about next steps.

Haven Scholars Launching
For students from families facing housing instability, from high school graduation through the first year of college.
Getting there
Help with transportation, enrollment costs, required documents, and other verified costs of starting college.
Having what you need
Books, technology, dorm or commuter needs, and transportation once classes begin.
Staying in school
Small emergency help when one unexpected bill could cause a student to stop attending.
A trusted contact through the first year
Each student has someone to call for encouragement and help solving problems, plus planned check-ins before the semester starts, early in the semester, at midterms, at the end of the semester, and before they enroll for the next one. Haven Scholars is not tutoring. We work alongside school counselors, admissions, and financial aid offices. We do not replace them.
